? Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center Talks with Nigerian Entrepreneurs in Beijing
2019年8月19日，中美食品與農業創新中心國際合作部同尼日利亞奧孫州州長特別顧問、北京盈昌申國際貿易有限公司總經理Adekunle Sunday Sheyi及尼日利亞總統女兒兼奧孫州州長法律顧問Patrick Glemaud在北京進行了會面和磋商，探討議題圍繞著尼日利亞和中國在農業和食品方面的產業合作、貿易、最佳農業實踐、人才培養等方面展開。
On August 19th, 2019, International Cooperation Department of Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center (SUFAIC) met with Adekunle Sunday Sheyi, the Special Adviser of the Governor of Osun State, Nigeria and General Manager of Beijing Ying Chang Shen INTL Trading Co.,Ltd., and Patrick Glemaud, the Legal Adviser of the daughter of Nigerian President and Osun State Governor in Beijing to discuss issues around industrial cooperation, trade, best agricultural practices and personnel training in agriculture and food between Nigeria and China.
首先，雙方對各自的人員和機構做了簡單的介紹。中美食品與農業創新中心就其成立使命和職能，以及目前在運作的國內外產業項目和合作項目進行了介紹。尼方帶來了他們的特色農產品腰果，介紹了當地的產業情況，目前每年的出口量在20萬噸，而產業的總體體量在200萬噸以上，同時，芝麻、大豆、大姜和芙蓉花（Hibiscus）有很大的產量，希望拓展在中國市場上的出口機會。
First of all, both sides made a brief introduction on their respective personnel and institutions. SUFAIC introduced its mission and functions, as well as the industrial projects currently in operation both at home and abroad. Mr. Sheyi brought the distinctive agricultural produce in Nigeria—cashew nuts and introduced the local industrial situation. At present, the export volume in Nigeria is 200,000 tons per year, while the total productivity of the industry is more than 2 million tons. Moreover, with a large yield of sesame, soybean, ginger and hibiscus, Nigeria hopes to expand export opportunities in the Chinese market.
中美食品與農業創新中心一直在努力運作的海外溫室建設種植項目、新品種“一帶一路”輸出項目近期在卡塔爾（蔬菜溫室種植項目）、塞內加爾（高油酸花生全產業鏈項目）有很大的實質性進展。尼日利亞在種子方面同樣面臨著品種退化，產量低種植效益不高等問題。中心與尼方在優質種子（花生、大米和蔬菜品種）輸出方面存在比較大的合作機會。
SUFAIC has been promoting its overseas greenhouse construction project and the project of exporting new varieties to OBOR countries. Substantial progress has been achieved in Qatar (vegetable greenhouse planting project) and Senegal (high oleic peanut whole industry chain project). Nigeria faces the same problems of seed degradation, low yield and low returns of planting as Senegal. Therefore, there are big opportunities for cooperation between SUFAIC and Nigeria in the export of high-quality peanut, rice and vegetable varieties.
Sheyi先生充分贊賞和認可中美食品與農業創新中心在產業結構調整和優化方面發揮的作用，表示十分愿意與中美食品與農業創新中心進行密切合作，促進中尼雙方在農業和食品產業方面的合作，促進雙方在農業和食品方面的貿易機會，雙方也將共同探索在最佳農業實踐和人才交流培養方面的合作機會。
Mr. Sheyi fully appreciated and recognized the role played by SUFAIC in the adjustment and optimization of industrial structure, expressing its willingness to work closely with SUFAIC so as to promote mutual cooperation in agriculture and food industry and explore cooperation on best agricultural practices, personnel exchange and training.
